INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A WIND ADVISORY is in place from 6 PM ET Sunday to 5 PM ET Monday. Gusts up to 50 mph remain possible in this timeframe.
TODAY: Cloudy skies with a warm front lifting to our north. Light sprinkles are possible this morning, with the pos
sibility of some rumbles of thunder in the northern third of the state. Breezy conditions push our temperatures to record highs. There is a slight (2/5) risk of severe weather for a good chunk of Indianalater today. A narrow squall line will form along the cold front and cross central Indiana from 5 PM ET – 9 PM ET. Damaging wind is the main threat, with a chance of a quick spin-up tornado. High temperatures in the mid-60s.
TONIGHT: After the squall line moves through, non-thunderstorm wind gusts pick up, and temperatures fall. A flash freeze can’t be ruled out, along with a few spotty flurries. Low temperatures in the upper teens.
TOMORROW: There is the chance of spotty flurries waking up with the better chance in northern Indiana. Winds remain gusty and push wind chill values into the single digits in the morning. Clouds back off to partly cloudy late in the day. Afternoon peak temperatures in the mid-20s (highs will be reached at midnight).
7-DAY FORECAST: The last two days of 2025 will feature highs in the 30s. NYE night into New Year’s Day, spotty snow showers are possible as a weak cold front shifts into the area.
