High wind warning in place for New York for Monday and Tuesday — gusts as high as 70 mph

A high wind warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 1:44 a.m. valid from Monday 4 a.m. until Tuesday 1 a.m. for Northern Erie and Southern Erie as well as Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Genesee, Wyoming and Chautauqua counties.The weather service says, “Southwest winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 70 mph expected.” ...read more read less
