Disabled BART train in East Bay causes major delays

(KRON) -- A disabled train outside the West Oakland BART station caused major delays in the SFO and East Bay directions on Saturday, according to BART.
BART wrote that a rescue train was on the way. All 50 stations remained open, but riders may have to make a transfer to complete their trips.

The green and blue lines were being diverted to the MacArthur station, but all BART stations remain open.
BART did not give a time estimate for service to return to normal when the delays first occurred.
At 5:24 p.m., BART wrote that the delays were due to equipment problems on a train.
Green line service was restored between Berryessa and Daly City stations, BART confirmed at 5:33 p.m. Blue line service was also restored between Dublin/Pleasanton and Daly City stations.
