A 23-year-old man was fatally wounded overnight in the Uptown neighborhood on the North Side, Chicago police said. About 4 a.m., officers responded to a call of someone wounded in the 5100 block of North Sheridan Road where they found a victim lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head. H e was pronounced dead at the scene. A witness told officers they saw a vehicle fleeing the scene, police said.
