The National Weather Service released an updated winter weather advisory at 5:07 p.m. on Friday in effect until Saturday at 1 p.m. for Northern Herkimer, Northern Warren, Northern Washington, Southeast Warren and Southern Washington as well as Hamilton County."Total snow accumulations between 4 and 8 inches," can be anticipated according to the weather service. "Snow will develop from west to east across the area around or shortly after sunset, with periods of light to moderate snow continuing tonight.
