On Friday at 12:07 p.m. a winter storm warning was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 4 p.m. until Saturday 1 p.m. for Southern Herkimer, Southern Fulton, Northern Saratoga, Western Schenectady, Eastern Schenectady, Southern Saratoga, Eastern Albany, Western Rensselaer, Eastern Rensse laer, Eastern Columbia and Northern Fulton as well as Montgomery County.“Total snow accumulations between 5 and 8 inches,” can be expected according to the weather service. “Moderate to heavy snow will develop early this evening and will continue overnight, gradually decreasing in intensity after midnight. Snowfall rates of one to two inches an hour will be possible at times through midnight. The snow will taper off Saturday morning to scattered snow showers and flurries.” ...read more read less
