SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Rain showers continued Friday after a series of powerful storms rolled into the Bay Area earlier this week. Wednesday overnight into Christmas morning saw strong winds, heavy rain, and power outages for thousands of residents. Several tornado warnings were briefly issued on C hristmas day. The National Weather Service on Thursday said it had received "multiple reports of flooding on roadways overnight, along with reports of downed trees, branches, and power lines." The weather service is advising anyone who is traveling to "take care" and to have multiple routes to your destination, in case one is blocked.
