At 12:58 a.m. on Friday, the National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning valid from 4 p.m. until Saturday 1 p.m. for Western Albany and Western Columbia as well as Schoharie County.“Total snow accumulations between 5 and 9 inches,” can be expected according to the weather service. “ Moderate to heavy snow will develop early tonight and will remain heavy overnight.
