On Friday at 1:12 a.m. an updated winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 1 p.m. until Saturday 7 a.m. for Yates, Seneca, Schuyler, Tompkins and Tioga counties."Total snow and sleet accumulations between 3 and 6 inches," can be anticipated according to the weath er service. "Snow moves in early this afternoon, with potential for sleet to mix in for a few hours this evening, before changing back to snow overnight.
