A 53-year-old man was convicted Monday of murder for shooting and killing a Denver woman at her home last year, according to court records. After a six-day trial, a Denver jury found Ernest Cunningham guilty of second-degree murder in the death of Kelsey Roberts, 23, according to the Denver District Attorney’s Office. Cunningham fatally shot Roberts at her home in the 800 block of South Dexter Street in southeast Denver on June 29, 2024, prosecutors said.
