Two vegetation fires sparked Wednesday morning alongside Interstate 25 in Douglas County, according to South Metro Fire Rescue. South Metro Fire Rescue responded to the fires near Castle Pines — one immediately off of northbound I-25 and one nearby on N. Lariat Drive — shortly after 10:20 a.m. W ednesday, according to the agency. Both fires were out by 11:04 a.m., according to an update from the fire department. Information about the size and cause of each fire was not immediately available Wednesday. This is a developing story and may be updated.
