Readytoeat kielbasa recalled for metal contamination

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A recall is in place for 1,930 pounds of Olympia Provisions ready-to-eat Holiday Kielbasa sausages due to possible metal contamination.
The product involved in the recall includes the following, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Ser
vice (FSIS):
16-oz. vacuum-sealed plastic packages containing one, fully cooked "OLYMPIA PROVISIONS UNCURED HOLIDAY KIELBASA" with a "best if used by" date of "02/19/26" printed on the side of the label.
The kielbasa was produced on Oct. 14, 2025, and features the establishment number "EST. 39928" inside the USDA mark of inspection. This item was available nationwide through online sales and shipped to retail locations in California, Oregon and Washington.

A consumer complaint was received by the establishment about metal found in the product, at which point they notified FSIS. As of the time of reporting, no injuries have been reported through consumption of the product.
Officials with FSIS said they are concerned the product is in people's refrigerators or freezers, and they urge people to throw it away or return it to the place they purchased it from.
