A smash-and-grab jewelry store robbery happened in Concord on Sunday, according to police. Just before noon, multiple calls came in reporting a smash-and-grab robbery at a jewelry store inside the Sunvalley Shopping Center. According to police, suspects used hammers to break display cases and then fled in a waiting vehicle before officers could arrive. While some witnesses initially reported possible gunfire, officers confirmed that no shots were fired, police said. There were no reported injuries.
