Wrightstown Township has approved a 2026 budget of $4.6 million that holds the line on taxes for its 8,300 residents, but sewer rates are slated to increase next year in two neighborhoods. According to the slate of expenditures, about $2.68 million is earmarked for the general fund, which includes a bout $1 million for police protection, $388,152 for public works/road maintenance, $362,194 for administration, $314,472 for code enforcement, $188,000 for engineering, $77,500 for legal services, $42,000 for fire protection, and $31,500 for zoning and planning, among other expenses. In approving the budget, officials said due to equipment  replacement  and required capital projects, sewer rates are slated to increase for residents of Matthews Ridge (from $1,185 to $1,400 per quarter) and Chapman’s Corner (from $750 to $815 per quarter). The new budget required reallocation of Highway Capital Equipment millage (2.4 mills)to the general fund, bringing the millage from 7.07 to 9.47.
