Two straphangers were slashed in the subway system in Midtown Manhattan in separate attacks early Saturday evening. In one incident, a 15-year-old boy was slashed underground by another teenager on the West Side just a block away from Times Square, cops said. The victim was gashed in the right arm a round 6:11 p.m. inside the 42nd St.-Port Authority station, near W. 42nd St. and Eighth Ave. EMS transported the victim to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition. It wasn’t immediately clear what sparked the attack. Cops say the teen suspect wore a brown jacket. Meanwhile, one hour earlier and less than a mile away, on the East Side, a 38-year-old man was slashed with an unknown sharp object after arguing with his attacker aboard a southbound No. 6 train heading into the Grand Central-42nd St. station around 5:02 p.m. EMS transported the man to Bellevue Hospital where he was in stable condition.
