Six people were injured, including one firefighter, in an apartment building fire in Upper Darby Township’s Drexel Hill neighborhood on Saturday morning, Upper Darby Fire Chief Nick Martin said. The second-alarm fire broke out just before 11 a.m. on Saturday morning, with firefighters arriving at the scene on the 3200 block of Township Line Road to find an ongoing blaze that started on the second floor, Martin said. Along with six people getting transported to the hospital, at least ten people had to be rescued by ladder and around 20 apartment units were impacted, Martin said. The severity of the injuries the six people sustained is not immediately known, Martin said. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
