Indy Classic returns to Gainbridge Fieldhouse INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Some high-profile matchups are happening right here in the heart of basketball country.  The Indy Classic is back with two local teams, Purdue and Butler, playing downtown at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Saturday. Th e Butler Bulldogs return to the Indy Classic for the second straight year as they take on the Northwestern Wildcats at 4 p.m. Following that matchup, the Purdue Boilermakers are set to take on the Auburn Tigers with tipoff set for 6:30 p.m. This is the fifth time they are facing off following last season’s meeting in Birmingham, Alabama, where the Tigers claimed an 87-69 victory.   Before the game tips off, a pregame party will be happening from 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Bicentennial Unity Plaza, featuring a DJ, mascot appearances, giveaways, games and more.
