RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A kitten trapped in a vehicle on a chilly Wednesday night was rescued by a safety ambassador with Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Police. On the evening of Wednesday, Dec. 17, Safety Ambassador McGinley-Bujtas -- a known "cat momma" -- was called to Harrison Street to help free a kitten trapped under the hood of a citizen's car, according to the VCU Police Department. She was able to quickly rescue the kitten. "McGinley-Bujtas ALMOST decided to invite 'Radiator' to her home with her four other furry fuzz balls, but took the kitty to the Richmond SPCA to hopefully find a forever home," police said.
