Taste Utah’s Eaten Path: Lunch with a View
Dec 19, 2025
Across cultures, lunch is the most important meal of the day and meant to be savored. It’s a chance to reclaim the long-lost art of an intentional midday reset. And everything tastes better with a backdrop of stunning mountain scenery. On the Wasatch Back, culinary creativity thrives alongside na
tural beauty, offering menus and settings that make every bite feel as elevated as the landscape.
This winter, let your palate be your passport and your tastebuds your compass and make lunch a destination by exploring midday dishes and food worth traveling for.
Le Depot Brasserie
Le Depot Brasserie marries French spirit and the historic heritage of Park City’s Main Street in the beautifully restored 1886 Union Pacific Railroad Depot, where Galen and Katie Zamarra welcome guests to linger for lunch. Opened in February 2025, the brasserie pairs celebrated James Beard Chef Galen Zamarra’s French training with a mountain-town sensibility, creating a lunchtime experience that feels both buzzy and blissfully unhurried. In summer, guests gravitate to the sun-splashed patio overlooking historic Main Street; in winter, views of snowy streetscapes frame leisurely lunches and afternoon après ski, in the warm, art-filled dining room.
Taste Utah Tip:
Treat yourself by upgrading your Le Depot burger with foie gras and comté. If you know you know, and now you do.
The menu beckons adventurous diners to indulge with a lunch menu celebrating approachable French flavors, from the Daurade Rotie or roasted sea bream, the signature Salade Depot with rock shrimp, or even a classic French omelet that can be paired with a thoughtful crafted cocktail or a glass of bubbles selected from their carefully curated wine menu. With its Paris-inspired design, curated artwork, welcoming charm, and mountainside views of Main Steet, Le Depot Brasserie is a favorite Park City lunch escape.
