INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We’ll quickly dig ourselves out of this freezer we’ve been in to end the workweek. Expect a much warmer Saturday with temperatures climbing even further as we close in on Christmas next week.
Friday night:
Temperatures will hold steady in the mid 20s through midnight tonight. Then, we will trend up into the low 30s by daybreak Saturday.
Saturday: Expect a much warmer day Saturday as temperatures will be 15-25 degrees warmer than Friday. Highs will launch into the mid to upper 40s. under mostly cloudy skies. Winds will also be breezy out of the south with gusts 20-30 MPH at times.
Sunday: A colder day will take shape for Sunday, but temperatures will find their-selves closer to normal as opposed to well below normal. Highs in the mid to upper 30s.
7-Day Forecast: A stretch of even warmer air is in line next week as we move towards Christmas. Highs will hike all the way up into the upper 50s to potentially low 60s by Christmas Day! We’ll note ahead of time that the record high for Christmas Day next Thursday is 64 from 1893 in Indy, and we’re forecasting highs that won’t be far from that mark. There will also be chances for rain at times next week as well. Christmas Day currently looks dry and mainly cloudy aside from the mild air.
