San Francisco police arrest suspect in French bulldog theft, dog still missing

San Francisco police announced Thursday officers arrested a man who allegedly stole a French bulldog named Hank in San Francisco earlier this month.
The police department reported they arrested 44-year-old Dante Shaw of Oakland. Shaw was accused of felony grand theft and booked in the San Franci
sco County Jail.
According to authorities, Shaw’s arrest comes after a person reported to police on Dec. 10 that his dog, a 4-year-old French bulldog named Hank, was stolen off the sidewalk.
Through the course of the investigation, police identified Shaw as the suspect and the lead investigator developed probable cause to obtain a search warrant for his vehicle, according to the police department.

Search continues for French bulldog stolen in San Francisco
On Wednesday, officers found Shaw’s vehicle in the area of San Carlos Avenue and High Street and detained him, according to authorities. Officials said officers served the search warrant on his vehicle, resulting in the seizure of evidence related to the theft.
Although an arrest has been made, San Francisco police said Hank has not been found yet. Police described the dog as tan in color and valued over $950.
