SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The San Francisco Giants have purchased the city’s historic Curran Theatre, officials announced Thursday. According to Playbill, the Giants bought the venue from theater producer Carole Shorenstein Hays, who had owned it since 2010. ‘The system failed’: Mom of teen wh o found man hiding in trunk of Waymo wants answers “The SF Giants just bought the Curran Theatre, sending a powerful signal of confidence in downtown and Union Square,” San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie posted on X. “Arts and entertainment are central to our city’s comeback. This is great news for our city.” Playbill reported that the theater will be managed by Ambassador Theatre Group and operated by BroadwaySF. The ownership change will not affect previously scheduled programming.
