The National Weather Service issued a coastal flood warning at 1:10 p.m. on Thursday valid for Friday between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. for Southern Queens and Southern Nassau."1 1/2 to 2 1/2 ft of inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline," explains the w eather service.
