A New Jersey man is accused of stealing the identities of dozens of people to submit several applications to receive SNAP benefits, according to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office. Andre Streater, 36, of Gloucester Township, allegedly submitted over 40 applications to the Supplemental Nutri tion Assistance Program under the names of other people but all from the same address, officials said. This all happened between June 7 and June 23, 2025, according to officials. Streater would allegedly use his Cash App account to move the money from the SNAP payments into his personal bank account, officials explained. In total, Streater requested about $128,700 from SNAP but only received $31,200, according to officials. The Camden County Board of Social Services informed the prosecutor’s office in July 2025 of the suspicious activity. Then, on Dec. 3, Streater was charged with identity theft, forgery and other related charges.
