The CU Events Center will be closed to the public for Colorado’s men’s basketball game against Portland State on Wednesday night. Due to “high winds, power outages around Boulder, and potentially hazardous road conditions,” the game set to tip off at 7 p.m. will be played without fans in attendance. “Colorado Athletics apologizes for the inconvenience but in the interest of fan safety and to conserve public safety personnel resources, it was determined that it was in the best interest of our fans and our teams to play tonight’s game without fans,” a statement read. Fans with tickets to Wednesday’s game will be issued a single-use promo code by the end of Monday, Dec. 22, for tickets to the Buffaloes’ next home game, against Northern Colorado on Dec. 28.
