SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Federal drug enforcement officers seized a kilogram of fentanyl and more than 600 grams of methamphetamine during operations in San Francisco over the past two months, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday. The “All Hands on Deck” initiative resulted in approxima tely 55 arrests between early October and early December. Officials named three suspects involved in federal cases: Rodrigo Parra-Lara was charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine after officials said they seized 2.4 kilograms of methamphetamine, two firearms and over $14,000 in cash. He was indicted by a federal grand jury on November 12. Javier Velasquez Antunes was charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Officials alleged he trafficked drugs out of a vehicle in San Francisco’s Mission neighborhood. He was indicted by a federal grand jury on November 12. The attorney’s office said his case involved multi-ounce purchases over a six-month period in SF’s Tenderloin. A federal grand jury indicted him on December 2. “Anyone who thinks about coming to San Francisco to sell drugs must understand this: if you deal drugs, you will be arrested and prosecuted, and you will face serious consequences,” said United States Attorney Craig H.
