On Wednesday at 12:37 p.m. the National Weather Service released a wind advisory valid from Thursday 7 p.m. until Saturday 1 a.m. for Oneida, Yates, Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Steuben, Schuyler, Chemung, Tompkins, Madison, Cortland, Chenango, Otsego, Tioga, Broome, Delaware and Sullivan counties."Sou thwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected," states the weather service.
