A good Samaritan flagged down officers when they saw the victim, a 40-year-old woman, lying in the street after a vehicle hit her and left the scene early Wednesday on the West Side. The incident happened around 1:40 a.m. in the 3900 block of West 5th Avenue when a woman believed to be about 40 year s old was in the street with multiple injuries, Chicago police said.
