(KRON) -- A traffic accident shut down BART service in the East Bay Tuesday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
BART service was stopped between the Castro Valley and West Dublin/Pleasanton stations due to an obstruction on the track, BART wrote in a social media post.
CHP told KRON4 News
there was a collision involving a semi-truck, a tow truck and an unoccupied vehicle that was being carried by the tow truck. The unoccupied vehicle appeared to have been ejected and landed on the BART tracks, sparking a brush fire.
The Alameda County Fire Department (ACFD) confirmed that one person was taken to the hospital, but that individual's condition is unknown.
The accident occurred near Eden Canyon Road in Castro Valley, ACFD wrote.

All lanes were shut down in the westbound direction of I-580, east of Castro Valley Boulevard, CHP said.

CHP reported that Eastbound I-580 lanes two, three and four were opened at 4:30 p.m.
BART trains are turning around at the Castro Valley Station, BART said on social media. There is service between West Dublin/Pleasanton and Dublin/Pleasanton stations.
A tow truck arrived at 5:10 p.m. to remove car blocking the BART tracks, CHP confirmed.
