Farmers Foragers Hillside Launches at Charlotte’s Old Lantern Events Barn
Dec 16, 2025
A popular Burlington food truck has opened a year-round second location at an old Charlotte staple. After a few test runs this month, Farmers Foragers Hillside will offer a regular schedule of Wednesday evening and Saturday morning meals at the Old Lantern Events Barn starting January 7.
Farmer
s Foragers owner Solomon Bayer-Pacht has been planning pop-ups and events for the venue since he purchased it with a group of local investors from Lisa and Roland Gaujac in the spring. When Farmers Foragers Dockside wrapped up at the Burlington waterfront in the fall, the team moved its commercial kitchen to the Old Lantern at 3260 Greenbush Road.
Diners can expect Farmers Foragers favorites such as cheesesteaks, lobster rolls, rotating po’boys and falafel pitas for Wednesday dinner, Bayer-Pacht said, as well as a new burger and poutine.
Head chef Ryan Brigante — previously a co-owner of Junior’s Winooski — will also prepare seasonal dishes, including winter bruschetta, white bean and kale soup, and pasta specials such as chicken Francese over spaghetti.
“It’s a casual pub feel,” Bayer-Pacht said of the Old Lantern’s cozy back lounge, which serves as the dining room. Takeout is available, and optional reservations will be added soon.
On Saturday mornings, starting at 8:30, Farmers Foragers Hillside will offer brunch while screening Premier League soccer matches. Dishes include a breakfast version of the food truck’s pork belly bánh mì, classic brunch items and sandwiches from the dinner menu. Bayer-Pacht is planning World Cup and Vermont Green watch parties for the summer, too.
Other community events, such as a Holiday Bash with a Foam Brewers tap takeover on Thursday, December 18, will be announced on Instagram @farmandforagevt.
