The Inland girls athlete of the week: Name: Kaleena Smith School: Ontario Christian Sport: Basketball Year: Junior Noteworthy: Smith, a 5-foot-6 guard, averaged 34 points, 9.3 assists and 8.3 steals across three games and was chosen as the Most Valuable Player at the Mark Keppel Winter Tournament. S mith had 32 points, nine assists and nine steals in a first-round win over Sherman Oaks Notre Dame. She then tallied 36 points, nine assists and nine steals in the semifinal victory over King-Drew. Smith capped things off with 34 points, 10 assists and seven steals against Lynwood in the final. Smith also was the MVP at the Warrior Way Classic earlier this month. The Knights are 12-0 and headed to Nassau for the Bahamas Hoop Fest this weekend.
