(KRON) -- Suspected members of a large burglary crew from the San Francisco Bay Area were nabbed while they attempted to flee from a marijuana greenhouse in Salinas, investigators said.
A still-in-progress burglary was reported just before 4 a.m. Monday at the cannabis-growing greenhouse on Encinal
Road. "About 10 subjects were reported to have broken into the facility and were loading marijuana into four vehicles," the Monterey County Sheriff's Office wrote.
Sheriff’s deputies, Salinas Police Department officers, and California Highway Patrol officers swarmed the area to cut off escape routes.
