(KRON) -- A suspected arsonist was arrested after a shopping cart was intentionally set ablaze and threatened a nearby building, the Petaluma Police Department said Sunday. The fire, which occurred in the area of Telephone Alley, spread to the suspect’s encampment and began to scorch the side of a building before being extinguished by responding firefighters, according to authorities. The structure was spared significant damage. (Petaluma Police Department) Officers arrested 56-year-old Guy Jefferson Bridgeman at the scene.
