A man trying to use propane gas for a warming fire inside his Lemon Grove home suffered burn injuries when the fuel exploded Sunday afternoon, authorities said. Sheriff’s officials responded to a home on Broadway, near Broadway Lane and state Route 125 just before 12:30 p.m., along with Heartland Fire Rescue firefighters, and discovered a minor explosion had occurred in the man’s living room, said sheriff’s Lt. The man apparently was living in the home without utilities and used the propane tank to feed “some kind of a warming fire,” Phillips said. Officials were told the man suffered second-degree burns. ...read more read less
