The National Weather Service issued a weather alert at 2:57 p.m. on Sunday for snow showers until 3:45 p.m. for Eastern Columbia."At 2:56 p.m., a band of heavy snow showers was near Austerlitz, or 9 miles southwest of Pittsfield moving south southeast at 15 MPH," says the weather service.
