RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – Arctic High Pressure will settle into the Mid Atlantic Region on our Monday, bringing a cold start to the new work week, but then a warming trend begins on Tuesday. Details below. Tonight’s forecast for this Sunday night into Monday morning calls for mostly clear skies, t he windy conditions we’ve been experiencing on this Sunday will be diminishing overnight and we will see very cold temperatures, getting down to 10 to 15 degrees by Monday morning. Tomorrow’s forecast for our Monday calls for mostly sunny skies, less windy conditions compared to our Sunday and cold high temperatures, only rising to 30 to 35 degrees. Tomorrow night into Tuesday morning calls for mostly clear skies, and cold temperatures, getting down to 25 to 30 degrees by Tuesday morning. Tuesday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and chilly temperatures, only rising to 40 to 45 degrees. Wednesday’s forecast will be a decent looking day, under mostly cloudy skies and highs rising to 50 to 55 degrees. Thursday’s forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies, afternoon and evening rain showers and highs around 60 degrees. Friday and Saturday call for mostly sunny to partly sunny skies on these days and highs around 50 degrees both days. Sunday is the first official day of Winter, the Winter Solstice, and it will be a mostly cloudy day, with afternoon and evening rain showers and highs 55 to 60 degrees.
