CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Five people were transported to the hospital following a pin-in crash in east Charlotte early Sunday morning. It happened around 3 a.m. on North Wendover Road near Marvin Road. Medic said five ambulances and several fire trucks responded to the scene, and that at least one perso n was pinned in a vehicle involved in the crash that had hit a tree. Two people were transported to Novant Presbyterian with life-threatening injuries. Three others sustained serious injuries and were transported to Atrium CMC.
