SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KRON) -- This holiday season marks the 76th year of the San Francisco Fire Department's toy drive and the fourth year partnering with SantaCon. They're teaming up to transform what's often seen as a "messy bar crawl" into a charitable event. Looking back at San Francisco’s SantaCon bank bandit Organizers of SantaCon asked participants to bring toys to donate to the SFFD's toy program. San Francisco fire officials estimate more than 3,000 toys will be collected at Union Square. Hundreds turned out in festive fashion for SantaCon.
