DENVER Denver police are investigating a Saturday morning hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian.Police issued a Medina Alert for a 2010 white Toyota Corolla, Colorado license plate EDM U42.The incident occurred
near Federal Boulevard and W. Kentucky Avenue, prompting southbound lane closures for the investigation.Police said the pedestrian was in a crosswalk when the vehicle struck them, causing serious injuries.According to police, after striking the pedestrian, the motorist left the sceneheading northbound on Federal Boulevard. The Corolla may have slight to moderate damage to the front bumper and is described as a four-door sedan.A Medina Alert honors the memory of Jose Medina, a 21-year-old valet driver who was killed by a hit-and-run driver in 2011.A taxi driver witnessed the event, followed the driver, and gave the police the license plate number, leading to the capture and arrest of the suspect.
