Parkite speed skiing legend Lindsey Vonn continued her momentum following Friday’s historical World Cup win, podiuming the second St. Moritz World Cup downhill race on Saturday in second place. Vonn crossed the finish line in 1:30.74, just 0.24 seconds behind Germany’s Emma Aicher, the winn er. Italy’s Sophia Goggia rounded out the podium in third place. Vonn won Friday’s race with a time of 1:29.63, nearly a full second above second place. The 41 year old Vonn will hit the St. Moritz course one final time on Sunday for the super-G race. Vonn expressed excitement for the super-G following her win on Friday, saying her super-G training times had been quicker than her downhill times. With two World Cup downhill races in the books, Vonn will leave St. Moritz as the top-ranked downhill skier in the world.
