A Philadelphia police officer told NBC10 that he was trying to pull over a stolen car on Friday when the suspect crashed into a cruiser. The incident happened sometime before 9 p.m. on Dec. 12 on the 1700 block of Scattergood Street in the Frankford section of Northeast Philadelphia, the officer explained. The officer was trying to stop a stolen white-colored Ford when it crashed into his police cruiser while trying to escape the traffic stop, he said. NBC10 crews at the scene saw that a white Ford appeared to have extensive front end damage while a police cruiser had damage to its driver side door. This is a developing story.
