(KRON) — A surfer was bitten by a shark in Sonoma County Friday, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office. The victim was surfing at North Salmon Creek Beach when the shark bit them on the hand. “The marine unit located the surfer on shore after they had gotten themselves out of the w ater,” the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office said. Following the shark attack, a boat capsized in Tomales Bay in Marin County. Rescuers responded and pulled three passengers from the choppy ocean water. “Crews encountered 8 to 12-foot waves during the rescue,” the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office said. “When the marine unit arrived, all three passengers were in the water and hanging onto the overturned boat.
