Thankfully, they all made it out of the fire safely. However, they later learned two of the family's pets did not survive, according to TMJ4s Rebecca Klopf.The fire rapidly spread and proved challenging for firefighters due to freezing temperatures as well as the absence of nearby fire hydrants, according to the Tess Corners Fire Department.Because of the conditions, additional support from surrounding communities was quickly called. Crews remain on scene conducting active suppression and overhaul of the fire.Its still unclear what caused the blaze. The investigation will begin once crews wrap up suppression efforts. The public is asked to avoid the area near Ladwig Drive and Aud Mar Drive to allow crews to work safely.In the meantime, an employee at the restaurant told TMJ4 that they are collecting money and working to get donations of clothes for the family, along with Christmas presents for the owners children, who have now lost everything.This is a developing story.
