LINCOLN–(KFOR Dec. 11)–The man accused of killing a 43-year-old Lincoln woman i
nside her northeast Lincoln home in late October pled not guilty Wednesday to first-degree murder.
Joshua Meyers, 40, of Lincoln appeared in Lancaster County Court. He’s suspected of assaulting and killing 43-year-old Tracy Henman inside her home near 56th and Holdrege. Lincoln Police say Henman’s family contacted officers, concerned they had not heard from her and she hadn’t shown up for work at Hy-Vee for two days.
Henman was found in the basement of home near 56th and Holdrege with traumatic and fatal injuries. Meyers was treated and released for self-inflicted injuries, after he says he was hit in the head. Henman’s death is the sixth homicide this year in Lincoln.
Meyers is being held without bond and if convicted, he could face life in prison.
