On Wednesday at 2:11 p.m. the National Weather Service released a special weather statement until 5:15 p.m. for Western Schenectady, Eastern Schenectady, Southern Saratoga, Western Albany, Eastern Albany, Western Rensselaer, Eastern Rensselaer, Western Greene, Eastern Greene, Western Columbia, Easte rn Columbia, Eastern Ulster and Southern Washington as well as Montgomery and Schoharie counties."With temperatures in the upper 20s to low 30s, an additional coating up to 2' of snow is expected through the remainder of the afternoon and early evening for portions of the Mohawk Valley, Capital District, Helderbergs, Berkshires, and northern and central Taconics.
