Woman shot to death in southwest Aurora parking lot, police say

Aurora police are searching for a man accused of shooting and killing a woman in a parking lot on Tuesday, according to the agency.
Officers responded to the shooting at 1205 S. Havana Street in southwest Aurora at about 6:10 p.m. Tuesday, according to a news release from the Aurora Police Departmen

When they arrived, Aurora officers discovered a woman had been shot at the north end of the strip mall parking lot, police said.
Paramedics took the unidentified woman to the hospital, where she later died from her injuries. She will be identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
Police on Wednesday were searching for the shooter: a bicycle-riding man who was wearing red sweatpants and a black jacket, according to the release. It’s unknown if the shooter and the victim knew each other.
