1. Tomorrow, December 10, from 5:30 to 7:30pm, The Yards is hosting their annual Light Yards Express to celebrate the holiday season!  The event is very family-friendly with a holiday-themed train that winds through the Light Yards wonderland of swinging, music-playing bells.  Plus, there wil l be more festivities like DJ-spun tunes, glitter tattoos for extra sparkle, and fun holiday giveaways like bells, reindeer ears, and light-up necklaces.  And possibly the best part of all… there will be a visit from the jolly man himself — SANTA! — so bring your wish list and have your camera ready for photos ops.  The event is free, but registration is required.   2. The Air Space Museum is hosting a Soar Together Family Day this Saturday, December 13, from 10am to 2pm.  Themed “Computers in Everyday Life,” the event features all kinds of fun, hands-on activities that highlight how computers help us navigate our world, from smart homes to space shuttles.  Admission to the museum is free, but timed-entry passes are required — reserve them here.   3. Do you know about the new candy shop in Georgetown?  lil sweet treat opened at 3285 M Street a couple of weeks ago (and it’s officially on Sasha and friends’ rotation of stops in the neighborhood).  They have a great selection of Swedish candy and more treats from around the world.   4. If you exercise outdoors during the winter or are just looking for good cold-weather athleisure, I highly recommend these “brushed interior” tights.  They so comfortable and warm — and on sale!  While you’re on the website, there are many more good deals to browse.   5. 10 Happy Things for December…always love Darcy’s lists!     ...read more read less
