Got merch? Mr. Trash Wheel does – online merch store launches just in time for the holidays
Dec 08, 2025
Just in time for the holiday season, Baltimore’s favorite waterfront icon has launched his first-ever online merch store. That’s right, Mr. Trash Wheel merchandise is now available online, offering a timely and playful option for gifts now, and all year round.
The shop features apparel,
accessories, and collectibles inspired by the city’s most beloved trash-eating celebrity. There are graphic tees, cozy sweatshirts, stickers, novelty items, and more. The whole collection gives Trash Wheel devotees a new way to celebrate the Trash Wheel family while supporting awareness of cleaner waterways.
Are you in your Trash Wheel Era?
The store opened last week and went fully live on Sunday evening. Get your wheels turning with a Mr. Trash Wheel mug or show your true Swift colors in an Eras of Mr. Trash Wheel shirt. Items range in price from $7 to $60, with styles that fit all sorts of shapes, and even homages to your favorite movies.
Mr. Trash Wheel has appeared everywhere from Dr. Seuss’s “The Lorax” book series to Zeke’s Coffee beans to accompanying famed ultra marathon open water swimmer Katie Pumphrey as she made history swimming from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge to Harborplace in 2024. He even wears Ravens colors this year in support of our hometown’s NFL team. Who’s to say he cannot sit atop your head in bucket hat form?
For the uninitiated, Mr. Trash Wheel is a semi-autonomous trash interceptor. He sits at the end of the Jones Falls stream, collecting trash that would otherwise be bound for Baltimore’s Inner Harbor and beyond.
We’re always happy to see Gwynnda!
“Far too lazy to chase trash around the ocean, Mr. Trash Wheel stays put and waits for the waste to flow to him,” reads the Mr. Trash Wheel website. “Sustainably powered and built to withstand the biggest storms, Mr. Trash Wheel uses a unique blend of solar and hydro power to pull hundreds of tons of trash out of the water each year.”
The Trash Wheel family has grown to include Professor Trash Wheel, Captain Trash Wheel, and Gwynnda, the Good Wheel of the West. They each have their own distinct personalities and collect approximately 500 tons of trash from the Baltimore’s waterways each year. It is far past time for them to have their own merch shop.
