A magnitude 3.3 earthquake occurred at 12:36 p.m. Sunday along the Camp Pendleton coastal line, generating brief, minor shaking in North County, according to the US Geological Survey. The quake’s epicenter was 7.9 miles deep, which is common for the region, and broke not far from the Rose Canyon f ault system.
