Put on your holiday best and get ready to party at the Wanamaker Building in Center City Philadelphia. The Bearded Ladies cabaret is coming back to the Great Hall to entertain and put their own spin on the season. “It’s Giving Cabaret” is a five-night run of singalongs, acrobatics, jazz, and t he resurrection of Philadelphia’s favorite long-dead French chanteuse. The show will run nightly starting at 9 p.m. from Dec. 10-14. Tickets are available at www.ticketleap.events/tickets/beardedladiescabaret/itsgiving. “It’s Giving Cabaret” is presented in partnership with Opera Philadelphia’s Pipe Up! series. Each performance in the series will feature a varying artistic lineup, ranging from drag to acrobatics, live music and more. Not every show will be for everyone. When possible, The Bearded Ladies will provide additional content transparency for each show, so you can decide how best to enjoy the series. The lineup is: • Dec. 10: It’s Giving FA-LA-LA! A singalong to cure your seasonal depression featuring the Bearded Ladies Hosts with Philadelphia Voices of Pride. • Dec. 11: It’s Giving “We Three Queens!” featuring performances by Cookie Diorio, Eric Jaffe and Jasmine Rice LaBeija, hosted by Jarbeaux. • Dec. 12: It’s Giving Mabeline! The Real Green Goddess is back for one night only with excerpts from her sizzling hot Greenaissance Tour discography! Featuring Mabeline Diorio, with Cindy Lou Who and Bling 1, hosted by Jarbeaux. • Dec. 13: It’s Giving Ghost of Piaf Past. Grab your Sutter Home! Let’s toast to the resurrection of Philadelphia’s favorite long-dead French chanteuse, Edith Piaf, with special guest Denise King, hosted by Jarbeaux. • Dec. 14: It’s Giving Holiday Hams! Celebrate the holidays right, with the burlesque duo hailed by The New York Times as “irreverent, sacrilegious, foul-mouthed and uninhibited,” The Wau Wau Sisters, hosted by Jarbeaux. Please be advised this performance will include copious amounts of holiday foods and nudity. Cirque Dreams Holidaze will take over the Miller Theater in Philadelphia Dec. 23-28. The holiday-themed show is an original cirque holiday theatrical event. This nationally acclaimed annual tradition wraps a Broadway-style production around awe-inspiring contemporary circus arts. Tickets at www.ensembleartsphilly.org. “Part of both our Broadway Series and our Family Discovery Series, Cirque Dreams Holidaze is a family-friendly adventure and visual spectacle designed for everyone to enjoy,” said Frances Egler, vice president of theatrical programming and presentations. “With elements of musical theater, dancing, and acrobatic feats, this spectacular show is a great option for anyone looking for a holiday vacation activity with family or friends.” On Christmas Eve, young Clara returns home only to learn that a snowstorm may keep her family from joining her. Just as loneliness begins to settle in, two whimsical singers appear and whisk her away into Holidaze, a fantastical world full of color, wonder, and breathtaking circus acts. As she journeys through this magical realm, Clara becomes part of the adventure, forming unexpected friendships and discovering her own courage. A mysterious key unlocks deeper layers of the story, leading her into a more mystical landscape where she fears her family may never return. But in a joyful twist, Clara is reunited with her loved ones, takes flight in a soaring aerial performance, and joins the entire cast in a heartwarming celebration of imagination, connection, and the true spirit of Christmas. The combined giant marketplace bringing together the best of Berwyn Farmers’ Market and the Berwyn Artisan Holiday Market. Look for more than 40 vendors, multiple food trucks, hot cocoa and s’mores from Eclat chocolates, artisan gift vendors, local farmers and purveyors. For entertainment, enjoy sounds from a Olde Town Carolers brass quartet playing favorite holiday tunes, photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus and a book signing with local author Mike Madaio, “A History of Philadelphia Sandwiches.” The event will expand beyond Bronze Plaza down Old Lancaster Road and allow for a larger immersive experience for resident families and visitors.
